Why Is Routine Calibration of Pharmaceutical Devices Important?

In the pharmaceutical industry, periodic instrument calibration serves a number of different purposes. It may be required for compliance with FDA guidelines or for maintaining cGMP and other quality control standards. Pharmaceutical calibrations produce a verifiable paper trail that confirms when equipment was last serviced — important priorities when conducting an audit or investigation into a potential liability issue.

Most importantly, in the pharmaceutical industry, calibrations mean peace of mind. Regularly calibrated pharmaceutical equipment provides consistent results you can trust. This minimizes uncertainties during testing and product development, speeds up the pace of research by eliminating outlying results caused by faulty equipment and ultimately leads to more profitable and productive operations.

NIST-Traceable Mobile Pharmaceutical Calibration Services

You will only realize the above benefits if pharmaceutical calibrations are performed on schedule and with a minimal amount of disruption to your work. That’s where MicronPA comes in. We are unique among pharmaceutical calibration companies in Central PA in that we provide extensive on-site service. Working with us, you’ll save the time, expense and risk of shipping off your delicate instruments to an outside lab.

Our technicians will arrive on time and work quickly to calibrate, adjust and verify your equipment. We will coordinate with your team to minimize downtime, working around your schedule and priorities. Whether it’s a single instrument that needs adjustment or dozens of critical tools, our experts can turn around projects of any size — often in one day or less.

Value-Added Calibration Services

On-site pharmaceutical calibrations are available at no extra charge for facilities located in Central PA. We complete all mechanical and electrical gauge calibrations using state-of-the-art equipment. During the calibration process, our technicians will make any necessary adjustments to bring your instruments into proper spec. If more in-depth repairs are needed, or it isn’t possible to perform the pharmaceutical calibration on-site, we will arrange transportation to our facility and provide you with a detailed quote for any necessary work.

When the work is complete, we’ll produce a long-form certificate outlining before and after values, the calibration date and the next service date, contact information for our laboratory and the name of the technician who performed the work, among other relevant information. Online certificate management is also available — in our web-based portal, you can track and monitor your entire lab, schedule electronic reminders when instruments are due for calibration and view detailed repair and adjustment history.
